Demitasse Opens Sleek New Coffee Bar in Little Tokyo (Los Angeles)


Just slightly delayed, Demitasse opens today offering Little Tokyo residents shmancy single-origin siphon-brewed Equator Coffee paired with Compartes chocolates. Owner Bobak Roshan wanted to open a quality coffee cafe that would highlight the complementing flavor profiles found in both coffee and chocolate. His coffees are brewed on a halogen siphon bar and in full-immersion brewers, meanwhile iced coffee is prepared Kyoto-style and served in cold sake bottles to prevent dilution. Loose leaf teas are served in individual pots with timers, and hot chocolate is mixed from liquid chocolate and served with “flame-kissed marshmallows.”

Following in the steps of Intelligentsia, Demitasse has sourced edibles from Farmshop, in addition to cakes from Jin Patisserie, and cookies from Batch from Scratch.Demitasse is now open M-W 6:30AM-7:30PM, Thu and Fri 6:30AM-8:30PM, Sat 8:30AM-9:30PM, and Sun 8:30AM-8:30PM.
